Book Three – CORRUPT LADY COP

Following Officer Taylor’s death, Hillfort Police Chief Jim Harris promotes Blake Thorne to second-in-command. An organized crime group called The Network, and the local police have coexisted for three years. However, the M.C., who used to rule Hillfort, has returned to reclaim their territory.
Initially, the M.C. appears harmless until someone attempts to assassinate Jim. The spotlight unexpectedly falls on Blake. During her efforts to uncover Jim’s assailant, she narrowly avoids an ambush with an informant she despises. The stakes increase as Blake becomes convinced that the M.C. has returned to Hillfort, stronger than ever. In a bid to escape, she and her Network contact go on the run, realizing they can’t trust their own people. Donny, a recovering drug addict, is the sole person who seems to understand the situation even though he relapses every other week.
